In Times Like These
In Times Like These
You know that song ..most of you do. In times likes these we need a bible In times like these we need a holy Ghost Revival. You can be sure be very sure your anchor holds and grips the sold the sold rock. That Rock Is JESUS.
We are in a storm In America. We are in a economic storm. We are in a culture war, and instead of the Church affecting society, society seems to be infecting the Church. Listen don't you dare faint as a Saint. Prayer will change things if we would only pray and not faint. it seems the people of God have lost their faith andhave begun to panic. What do "We" do to save the day"We" PRAY.
In these uncertain times let us remember 1. This World is not our home we are Strangers & Pilgrams in a foreign land. (Hebrews 11:13) 2. All of these signs are Prophesies that the Son of Man will soon return. (St Luke 17) 3.Since we are in this world we are told to occupy till the Lord comes(What does that mean?) you tell me that your home work assignment. (St Luke 19:13) I will leave you with this old saying: BIG PRAYER, BIG POWER. little prayer, little power..... I let you finish the rest. (St luke 18:1).....Men ought always to pray and not to faint;
“I have heard your prayer and have chosen this Temple as the place for making sacrifices.13 At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you.14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.15 My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.16 For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy—a place where my name will be honored forever. Has Anyone Seen The Real Church
Our mission as the body of Christ is soul winning I agree but often times we have to start with the ones sitting in the pews who although they are coming their life does not reflect their confession.
The sad reality is that the sinner will most often meet the person who is not reflecting Christ but profress to know him.This then gives the sinner a false sence of what being a Christian is all about and they end up calling all of us hypocritesbecause of one or a few people who have not totally surrendered yet.I say yet because at one point in my life I was that person who did not reflect Christ.
Someone did to me what God told Isaiah to do in chapter 58:1(NIV)" Shout it aloud,do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.Declare to MY PEOPLE their rebellion and the house of Jacob their sins. I did not like it I got mad I became defensivebut now I know that person loved me and knew that I was not only hurting myself but doing damage to the entire body of Christ.
All through the Bible you see God with a plan of salvation for mankind and wanting to present that plan through the people he called his. The problem was he could not get them to do right as an example to the other Nations so they would desire to be a part of God Family.
When you see as a believer any sin in your brother or sister the words says in Galatians 6:1 "brethern (SISTAS TOO) if aman be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself,lest thou also be tempted"would you say maybe God wants us to say something.
Now I agree when you speak the truth it should be spoke in love. I also beliveve that if the person that came to me had come to loving of a way I would not have even thought about what they said. It was how they said what they saidthat made ( naw I gonna keep it real) pissed me off and made me think and that is why I changed.As I have matured in Christ and have been able to correctly evaluate that time in life thatnosey,hateful,holier than thou(and some things I won't write)person really loved me enough to tell me the truth in a way I would have other wise blew off. I love them to day for being nosey.
I also think that some of these Preachers have reached a Statis in Ministry where they won't listen to the little people(even though I don't find a seperate class in scripture) theywon't hear unless someone is radical. G Craige is so radical thathe is getting the attention of the Big ones.
The Scribes and Pharasees did not like Jesus because he did not let their statis stop him from evaluating their lives and then telling them to their face (NOW THIS IS RADICAL) John 8:44yo Daddy is the Devil, St Matthew 15 yall doing yo own thing and breaking all of my fathers rules and you call yo selves Leaders, I gonna call ya what you are some hypocrites. aint no love, grace or mercy in those words he went straight for the throat. Now how do you think they felt about Jesus being so radical They showed us They killed him.
Now if they hated Jesus for telling it like it is we will suffer the same fate if we choose to tell anyone the truth reguardless of their statis. wrong is still wrong, sin is still sin, from the pulpit to the back door.
Paul told Timothy to " Preach the world be instant in season;out of season; reprove ,rebuke exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they willwill not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers,having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to fables. 2 Timothy:4 2-4
Question: who are the they?
2 Why are the teachers telling them what THEY want to hearinstead of telling them what thus said the lord?
3 Why do THEY always pick Leaders that will not teach sounddoctrine
4 Have you noticed that while there is lots of preaching going on but nobody seems to be changing?
Divorce is higher in the church than it is in the world and even our so called Leaders can't seem to practice what they preach.Drugs, homosexuality,gambling,stealing,hatred and lack of loveis in the church and no one seem to be hearing a message that will cause repentance Yes the church needs a wake up call.
Here it is 2 Chronicles 7:14 " If my people who are called by my name , will humble themselves and pray and seek my face andturn from THEIR WICKED WAYS, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land".
Now we either take judgement from men who are called to correct or reprove, rebuke,and exhort. or we deal with a God who sends Judgement because we would not heed the warnings he send through men like G craige Lewis,and others who are blowing the Trumpet in Zion.

What is Your Statement of Faith
I am not doing this to change anyone's mind about what they believe, rather to exspose satans tactics of keeping us from unifying and fighting the real enemy (satan,lucifer,old slew foot,prince of darkness,etc,etc,etc) we are not each others enemy.In Ephesians 4:4-7 there is one body,and one spirit.........one Lord,one faith ,one baptism...........one God who is father of all (read it let it sink in).In Frank S Meads Handbook of denominations (new tenth edition) he offers updated information onover 200 religios groups in the United States. 200 different statements of faith. This amounts to aword confusion. Man is saying take any road you choose you will still be get there.God is saying through Paul one way.Looking at definitions of words let us ponder the meanings (please ponder)Denomination: in the American Heritage dictionary says a name esp.the name of a class or group.
2. A unit having a specifed value in a system of currency or weights.
3. an organized group of religious congregations
the second meaning is an arithmetic term this divided by this equals this. So to put it another way a Christian Divided by another Christian equals confusion.Confusion: to mislead; mix up; to fail to distinguish between; to make unclear.In 1 Corinthians 14:33 the bible declares " God is not the author of confusion" understanding that this chapter is dealing with spiritual gifts and the spirit of prophecy working in the body of Christ looking at the definitons so far we can conclude that God would not be behind division in his body of believers. in fact paul writes in 1 Corinthians 1;10 " that you all speak the same thing, and thatthere be no divison among you;but that you be perfectly joined together in the SAME MIND and in the SAME JUDGMENT. but we have many ways and many minds,( confusion)So then if God did not bring division to the body where did it come from? I am glad you asked his name is satan,the devil, who Peter tells us in 1 Peter 5:8 "he is a roaring lion walking about seeking whom he may devour" Jesus calls him a theif in St John 10:10 and that he comes to steal kill and destroy. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 " for such are false apostles,deceitful workers,transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. and no marvel (DON"T TRIP) satan himself is tramfromed into an angel of light.therefore it is no great thing if HIS ministers also be transformed as ministers of righteuosness. What!!! you mean satan can have some people preaching and teaching and all the time they have been working for him (SATAN)!!!!!!!!! Lord allow our ears to hear what you are saying.When Jesus was confronted by the Pharisees for casting out a demon ( imagine that) he responded with some words I believe satan used to divide the body of Christ and from the response I got back from mychurch.org it is still working today. Jesus told the Pharisees in Matthew 12:25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand" and if christians cast out other christans,I mean satan cast out satan how shall his kingdom stand. have you ever heard that saying together we stand divided we fall.look at all of the division in the body of Christ over the one thing that is suppose to unite us THE WORD OF GOD.I can see it now you have to pray in the name of the Father, the Son,And the Holy Ghost. No my brother the word says whatever you do in word or deed do it all in Jesus. No you all are wrong you have to pray to Mary.Now if you speak in tonges and that demon will come out.Now only the Pastor can pray and you can put spring water on their head and money cometh. No you have to set the atmosphere with some annoited music.Mean while satan and his crew just sits back grabs a bag of hot buttered popcorn and watch the fights begin.When the Church started there was only one Church not baptist, not metodist, not catholic,not (fill in the blank) whatever you want to call yourself. Satan is responsible for the division not God.I understand that doctrine divides but that is the point of this blog there is only One Lord,one faith,one baptism and it is even more difficult for us to sit down and talk or even debate without hate coming in and causing us to call each other names.That is why God had Paul to write in Ephesians 4:11-13a" that is was he(GOD) who gave some to be apostles,some prophets,some tobe evangelist, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up UNTIL we ALL reach (not our own statement of faith) but unity in THE faith. not MANY but THE one faithWhat is your statement of faith? history tells me that man through the influence of satan changed the one lord,one faith,one baptism into many lords,many faiths, many baptisms. Also we don't have the original manuscripts so ther has been a lot of changes to the bible over the years enough to make it almost impossible to know who is right.(I said almost) when I get to a passage that I can't figure out because every commentary I have says something different about the text I pray to the one who wrote the bible.i will give you an example.I am not legally blind but I have a temporarycondition that makes the vision in my both my eyes blurred. so my son has been typing the words that are coming from my mouth ,which is coming from my mind, which is coming from the holy spirit in me. So then God is the author of the bible but 49 jews and 1 gentile wrote down what he spoke to them because they were filled with his spirit. Did you know that in the 1500 the bible was taken away from the common man and they burned them and had it wrote in latin so if you did not know latin you could not read the bible. Then King James had the bible translated and the people who wrote it wrote how they viewed the bible and their thoughts were far from original.So the next time you come to a passage and you don't know or you are not sure pray to the one who wrote it and he will give you illlumination on what he truly meant in Chapter...Verse....
